Majaco came to be when we asked ourselves one simple question: how can we make our partnerships, projects, and our own work even more efficient?
We agreed that the answer was: A small, nimble team of top experts. A team that can slot seamlessly into a business and get hands-on to solve problems. A team that can focus entirely on delivering sustainable uplifts in profit, while being high-energy and low maintenance.
That was in 2019. Since then, we’ve brought our vision to life, and we’ve been delivering profit-improving projects for some of the top businesses in our sectors. We’re loving every minute of it. And it was all made possible by Majaco.
Our work is all about being output driven. This means we judge ourselves by the results we deliver. The fees we charge aren’t based on the number of days we work, or the hours we spend on site and in meetings – our fees are based on how much impact we have on your profitability.

In Toby’s own words:
“I was never cut out to be a ‘proper’ engineer, spending all day modelling stresses and strains on a computer screen. I always wanted to solve practical problems and have a real world impact. I love to help, make things better and do the right thing, even if it’s hard.”
Toby’s proudest achievement:
Helping to turn around the Walkers Sausage factory. Toby and his team stopped it from closing down by helping to make it profitable.
Outside of work, you’ll find Toby:
Exercising. He was once a Cambridge-Oxford mountain bike champ, and is a now a determined runner.
In Josie's own words:
I'm a keen problem-solver and love improving processes or just generally making things better. Majaco gives me the chance to do this alongside like minded people and to magnify my impact. Originally an engineer, I've spent 9 years delivering operational improvements across a range of sectors, including 4 as the head of Uber Eats in the Midlands. I love becoming part of the client team and getting to meet a range of new people.
Josie's proudest achievement:
Growing Uber Eats across the Midlands from just a few chain restaurants to almost half a million food orders a week.
Outside of work, you'll find Josie:
Working on my campervan build, riding a bike in Peak District or swimming in a large body of water.
In Jamie's own words:
“I’ve always enjoyed working in environments where I can make a tangible impact. Working with Majaco gives me the opportunity to deliver the kinds of improvements you can see from the shop floor to the P&L. The simplest solution is often the most difficult to find, but also the most rewarding.”
Jamie's proudest achievement:
Delivering more than £20m in savings through stock accuracy, combining data and operational changes across the end-to-end supply chain.
Outside of work, you’ll find Jamie:
Enjoying ways to keep fit, spend time outdoors and see new places. He’s an avid cyclist and competes in sailing, in UK and Mediterranean circuits.
In Aleksei’s own words:
“I enjoy working with solution-driven, passionate people to solve a wide range of problems. Majaco gives me the chance to work together with clients to co-design solutions, test and iterate them, and ultimately develop something that delivers real value – value that’ll long outlive my time with the client.”
Aleksei’s proudest achievement:
Designing and developing an Internet of Things tool for tracking and reporting on granular energy consumption data. (And then leading a team to implement this solution for one of Europe's largest gym chains – delivering a 30% electricity reduction across their estate.)
Outside of work, you’ll find Aleksei:
Staying active. Rugby, badminton, running, swimming – anything that gets the heart pumping and makes for a good time with friends.
In Carl's own words:
“Majaco gives me the opportunity to work with varied firms, with lots of flexibility and the chance to utilise both my analytical and practical skills. I love working with the crew on the shop floor to improve the processes they implement every day.”
Carl's proudest achievement:
Helping a team of truck loaders to match their daily crewing to business demand – giving them a greater understanding of the wider business and reducing agency labour spend.
Outside of work, you’ll find Carl:
Ski touring. He loves the research, planning, risk balancing, stamina and perseverance it takes to reach the top.
In Nick's own words:
“Developing and delivering strategy is the part of my job I’ve always enjoyed – working closely with client boards to help devise and implement winning strategies. I love seeing ideas come to fruition, seeing the initiatives being embraced by business teams and collectively sharing in the success.”
Nick's proudest achievement:
Leading the huge turnaround of an underperforming, loss making business, and seeing the morale boost it gave their people.
Outside of work, you’ll find Nick:
Walking in the hills. He’s a sucker for a view – the higher the better.
In James’s own words:
“I enjoy working with hidden stars in an organisation and seeing them get the recognition they deserve. I love seeing people take on new ideas and make them their own after getting only a quizzical outside perspective or a minor bit of coaching.”
James’s proudest achievement:
Competing in the World Solar Challenge. James was part of a team that designed, built and raced a solar-powered car from Darwin to Adelaide.
Outside of work, you’ll find James:
Brewing. He’s a keen homebrewer and plans to start his own craft brewery in the near future.
In Sam’s own words:
“I’ve always enjoyed solving problems with other people. I love being part of a high-performing Majaco team, having smart people to bounce around ideas with. I also really enjoy working with client teams – I’ve met some amazing people from all walks of life. The variety of people and subject matter is really interesting too.”
Sam’s proudest achievement:
Delivering a programme for the Ministry of Defence that enabled £500m cost avoidance.
Outside of work you’ll find Sam:
Writing and producing music. (He’s had over 15 million streams so far.)
In Sunny’s own words:
“I’m fueled by my passion for tackling complex challenges and driving impactful change. My role aligns perfectly with my interests and skills – coming up with innovative solutions and collaborating with teams to make a tangible difference in a business. I find immense fulfilment in guiding people and organisations through significant change.”
Sunny’s proudest achievement:
Spearheading a business transformation that resulted in doubling growth for two consecutive years. It involved changes to commercial strategy, processes, systems, and people management, as well as leading a team through a successful relocation and upskilling initiative.
Outside of work, you’ll find Sunny:
Currently undertaking a PhD in organisational growth and leadership, exploring how strategy, culture and behaviour drive sustainable scale.
In Frank's own words:
"There's nothing that brings me more satisfaction than seeing someone do something today that they couldn't do yesterday. I really enjoy getting right under the skin of a knotty issue that has been glazed over time and time again because 'it's just too hard' or it's 'always been done that way'. But when you get to go on that journey with people and see their eyes light up as the graph trends up because of the ideas they had and the changes we've implemented; there's simply nothing better."
Frank's proudest achievement:
Delivering a £30m improvement in a grocery retailer's supply chain by uncovering a pick accuracy issue that nobody knew was an issue, measuring the level of inaccuracy manually and ultimately building a sustainable measure and improvement cycle around it to reduce errors from c.4.5% to <1% within a year.
Outside of work, you'll find Frank:
If the weather is anywhere near decent, the braai (bbq) is out and fired up, other than that I just try to keep up with my two young kids!
In Sam's own words:
"I'm a team player and it always impresses me how much enthusiasm our client teams bring when given new, fact-based perspectives on where we can work together to add value to their organisation. The improvements that deliver the most value and stick the best are the ones which client teams come up with and implement themselves. Being able to play the role of coach to help shape solutions and take people along the journey to success is extremely satisfying."
Sam's proudest achievement:
Re-scoping part of a nuclear power plant build, and developing construction plans between multiple contractors, to deliver a 19 week critical path reduction for a key project milestone.Outside of work, you'll find Sam:
Tinkering with cars and taking them to the racetrack. Sam's latest purchase was a welder.
